There are cases in which politicians in particular should stick to the facts. Against this principle, MP Marcin Horała decided on Tuesday to comment on the case of journalists reporting on Polish neo-Nazis.
– If it was really that this event would not be, if it was not ordered, paid and organized – speculated on radio TOK FM PiS MP, without motive.
The "supervisor's" reporters repeatedly denied these insinuations. Nevertheless, MP PiS has repeated and added that "a suspicion that has not been completely sucked up" has appeared "that needs to be verified".
The suspicions of which Mr Horała speaks come only from Mateusz S., the organizer of the anniversary in honor of Adolf Hitler and main accused of the investigation. It's at home that neo-Nazi weapons and uniforms have been found. It's his activity that exposes the journalists of TVN in his report.
– This is one of the elements of government policy. A policy that protects the "Nazi-Nazi", the neo-fascists, some right-wing extremist movements and pursues those who discover these facts – comments on the case of Sławomir Neumann, from OL.
Chronology of Wacowski's case
In order to clarify the facts surrounding the case of Piotr Wacowski, one of the co-authors of the report on Polish neo-Nazis, a timeline prepared by the journalists of "Gazeta Wyborcza" and "Rzeczpospolita" can help.
Officially, it all began on November 19, when a prosecutor's reporter, TVN, went to the prosecutor's office in Gliwice, where the investigation into Hitler's birth was conducted early on . He was submitted by Jerzy Kwaśniewski, president of Ordo Iuris.
A day later, prosecutors in Katowice, who oversaw the investigation, were assigned to handle the case of the prosecutor's office in Gliwice.
A very important piece of information in this context is the fact that the survey of forest events is already complete. Prosecutor Agnieszka Marcińczyk, who from the beginning has been busy with the investigation, clearly separated the participants suspected of having spread Nazi symbols of two TVN journalists, saying that he they were there as part of a journalistic investigation.
However, the prosecutor's office in Katowice is of a different opinion.
– The Gliwice case was under the highest supervision of the regional prosecutor's office in Katowice and my head sent a letter to the district attorney's office in Gliwice in which he indicated that the plot of the operator had to be clarified in a separate proceeding – says Waldemar Łubniewski of the regional prosecutor's office in Katowice.

"Too early"
On Wednesday, 23 November, a letter to which Lubniewski refers was sent to the deputy director of the prosecutor's office in Gliwice. Two days later – Friday, November 25 – agents of the Internal Security Agency, mandated by the prosecutor's office, surrender to Piotr Wacowski with a suspected summons to spread Nazism.
– (ABW officers – ed.) Rather than they were probably embarrassed by the fact that they're sort of factors – reminiscent of Wacowski's visit.
On Sunday, the national prosecutor's office changes his mind and forbids, at least for the moment, to make Piotr Wacowski a suspect.
– The decision to lay charges has not been waived. This is published, it is in the case files. But it is still too early to take such measures – explains Łubniewski.
The February prosecutor's office is also investigating "TVN's actual participation in a meeting in Hitler's honor".
– It is too early for some categorical conclusions. The evidence in this case is still collected and the prosecutor verifies the evidence of this witness – adds Łubniewski.
The Ombudsman, Adam Bodnar, will seek clarification on this matter from the prosecutor's office. In his view, this whole story must raise doubts as to whether this should be based on prosecutions that meet the standards of freedom of expression.
Photos of deputies on szubienice and lack of charges. In November 2017, such photographs were published in Katowice. Police have surveillance photos showing the perpetrators and their identities. But until now, the prosecutor's office has not …
