The wide door saves space in a spacious, well-finished interior, although it must be admitted that, apart from the high quality materials, one can also find hard and cheap plastics. Directly behind the wheel, the 12.3-inch display displays a set of digital indicators whose appearance can be selected from several available patterns.
The center of the dashboard is occupied by an 8-inch multimedia display, which is also used to support some embedded systems. The seats of the Citroen C5 Aircross are very comfortable, with good lateral support and a wide range of adjustment. At the rear, we have three individual seats that can be slid longitudinally and fold down, thus increasing the cargo space from 580 to 720 and even 1630 L. The passenger space is exemplary as well as visibility in all directions. In addition, the car can be equipped with a parking assistant with sensors and a 360 camera.
The suspensions with Mcpherson struts at the front and torsion beam at the rear are equipped with a hydraulic damping (progressive hydraulic cushions) which improves the damping of the elevations and guarantees a better driving accuracy. It may not be the level of a flying carpet, as Citroën promises, but when driving on the winding roads and tracks of the Moroccan desert, we had no serious reservations.
Pleasantly smooth operating characteristics mean that, on good surfaces, the Citroen C5 Aircross floats easily, while the transverse irregularities crossed do not mean that nervous rebounds or shocks occur inside. From time to time you can feel vibrations on the steering wheel. What is important, gently, does not mean that the body is always moving, which, even in fast-negotiating curves, behaves stably and does not tend to understeer. The steering gives good returns, especially in Sport mode, when the power of the steering decreases and the steering wheel feels more resistance.
During testing, we had a petrol 1.6 / 181 hp and a diesel 2.0 / 178 hp. Both versions offer similar performance and form a harmonious duo with 8-speed EAT8 machines. Gasoline is more spontaneous in reactions to gasoline, but diesel impresses with its flexibility. We bet that, every day, the base engine of the Citroen 5 Aircross – gasoline 1.2 / 130 hp will also work. What is important, the prices of this version start at 86 800 PLN.

I love the young and modern nature of this car. The Citroen C5 Aircross is spacious, functional and very comfortable. He is not an athlete, he is a rather calm cruiser, but as a family car he works perfectly.
