Cocaine in cartons with bananas in Sosnowiec

Cocaine hidden in banana cartons was found in the fourth province. This time, the warehouse workers found a medicine in Sosnowiec, in the province. Silesia.

During the weekend, cocaine was detected in banana boxes in a chain of shops in Mazovia, Lower Silesia and Lodz. In total, 220 kilos of drugs have been secured.

The drugs that arrived at the grocery store with bananas arrived in Poland from Ecuador. Their value on the black market service is estimated at tens of millions of zlotys.

Packaging containing more than 160 kilograms of drugs was found in cartons containing bananas in stores of the same chain in the voivodeships of Mazovia, Lower Silesia and Lodz.

– Preliminary chemical analyzes show that it can act of cocaine. We have started international cooperation in this area because, as you know, these drugs came from Poland to Poland. From the first results, we know that they came from Ecuador. We will determine who is the sender of these drugs and, of course, who is the recipient and who should receive them, said Dawid Marciniak of the police headquarters.
