The next shopping center will be July 29th. July is unique in this respect. In the middle of the month, three Sundays fall, during which we will not make purchases. The stores on July 15th will be closed, as was the case a week earlier.

Non-commercial Sunday will also be July 22.

According to the trade ban regulations in effect since March of this year, we will be shopping every two months on Sundays. Shopping Sundays are the first and last months. Usually two Sundays, the shops are open and both closed. Exceptionally – as in July – it happens that three Sundays are not merchant

The August calendar looks like this: Sundays are trading on August 5th and 26th, and non-commercial Sundays are August 12th and 19th.

Law, which came into force on March 1, 2018, the Sunday trade ban does not cover everyone. The stores will be open, where the owners themselves or their family members, pharmacies, bakeries, ice cream parlors, florists, post offices and presses, souvenirs, tickets or tobacco products will be behind the counter. In addition, purchases on Sundays can also be made at railway stations, airports, free zones and service stations.

Starting in 2019, the rules of commercial Sunday will change again. The commercial principle will be every last Sunday in a month. On the other hand, in 2020, it will be possible to shop only seven Sundays throughout the year.

The government may introduce additional provisions on the prohibition of Sunday trade.

One of them concerns the clarification of the provision excluding post offices from the ban. Current regulations use Żabka – some of its stores have post office status, which allows them to operate normally on Sunday without exchange. The amendment aims to clarify – as announced by the Swede -: Poczta Polska is the post office.
