According to the law on commercial discrimination, we will shop two Sundays every month. Shopping Sundays are the first and last months. Usually two Sundays, the shops are open and both closed. A situation like that of July with three Sundays without business happens exceptionally.

In August, the Sunday shopping calendar is as follows: August 5th and 26th will be opened and closed on August 12th and 19th.

Regulations prohibiting the year. They assume that the ban will gradually cover a growing number of Sundays. From 2019, the commercial rule will only be the last Sunday of the month. On the other hand, in 2020, it will be possible to buy only seven Sundays throughout the year.

According to the law, the Sunday trade ban does not cover everyone. Shops that can be opened behind the counter are the owners themselves or their family members, pharmacies, bakeries, ice cream parlors, florists, post offices and presses, souvenirs, tickets or products. tobacco. In addition, Sunday shopping will also be possible in railway stations, airports, free zones and service stations.

The government is already trying to clarify the rules of commercial Sunday, including at the request of "Solidarity", which believes that it is currently too easy to circumvent them. One of the postulates of the trade unionists concerns the sealing of the provision excluding post offices from the ban. The current regulations are used by the Żabka chain – some of its stores have post office status, which allows them to operate normally on Sundays without exchange.
