Warsaw, 27/07/2018 (ISBnews / BM Reflex) – Changes in the wholesale market mean that the rise in fuel prices this week has offset previous discounts and, as a result, the first price increases observed on some stations (2 – 4 gr / l). According to the commentators of the Brokerage Office Reflex market, the level of retail margin achieved and the expected price increases in the wholesale market will indicate that there will be no reduction in fuel prices in the markets. next years

.

The end of July, although marked essentially by declines in the price of gasoline and diesel, will not be a particularly favorable period for drivers. Average prices in the country fell by 1 fat per liter, although in some resorts the discounts even reached 5 to 8 gr / l. The dynamic changes in the wholesale market have meant that the price increase this week, especially in the case of gasoline, has offset the declines in the wholesale market and therefore the first price increases from the station. The level of the retail margin achieved and the price increases expected on the wholesale market indicate that in the near future, we must forget the reductions in the stations.

This is the midpoint of the holidays. To date, gasoline prices of 95 have remained in the range of 5.02 to 5.12 PLN / l and those of diesel from 4.97 to 5.09 PLN / l. there is a chance for similar levels also in the second month of summer vacation

The worst situation is on the LPG market. Since the beginning of summer, prices have risen by 28 gr / l. The next few days are expected to slow down LPG price increases in stations, the situation on the wholesale market is slowly stabilizing.

The average retail fuel prices at 26-07-2018 were at the following level:

unleaded petrol 95 – 5.08 PLN / l (-1 gr / l),

unleaded petrol 98 – PLN 5.38 / l (-1 gr / l),

gas oil – PLN 5.01 / l (-1 gr / l),

autogas – 2.37 PLN / l (+4 gr / l)

Brent crude prices began the week with increases of $ 74.50 / barrel and ended at a similar level. Temporary support for the market was once again the geopolitics and mutual exchange of threats between the US president and the Iranian rulers. The spiritual leader of Iran, following the words of the Iranian president, threatened that if his country could not sell its oil, this was also not the case in the region. This translates directly into speculation about the possibility that Iran is blocking the Strait of Hormuz through which oil is flowing from Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq , Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates

US oil production will continue to limit the upside potential of oil prices. Currently, strong resistance is around 75.50 USD / barrel, which should be an effective barrier to further oil price increases.

Meanwhile, in the context of US policy towards Iran, Turkey has already announced Iran, for example, will not reduce Iranian oil purchases, which account for nearly half of imports Turkey. In 2017, Turkey was the fourth largest after China, India and South Korea. the largest recipient of Iranian oil with a 9% export share.

This week, the DOE reported a decline in US oil stocks of 6.15 million barrels, while a decline of about 3 million barrels was expected. At the same time, gasoline inventories fell by 2.30 million barrels and distillates by 0.1 million barrels
