On the evening of Friday, July 27, the full moon will cross the center of the Earth 's shadow and change color.

Dr. Helen Klus, an astronomer of the Royal Astronomical Society, told Express.co exclusively .uk that the moon would appear already overshadowed Friday.

The moment the moon passes in the sky the shadow will occur below the horizon but it will look more red once it reaches the sunrise in the southeastern skies.

Dr. Klus says: "Look at the horizon in the southeast on July 27. will start to rise in London and it is 9:26 pm BST if you are in Glasgow

" It will take about one time for the maximum eclipse which is about 9.21pm BST if you are in London and there will be another half hour or before the end of the eclipse. "

In these parts of the world If the entire eclipse is visible, namely Central Asia and East Africa, the eclipse will last one hour and 43 minutes

Astronomers extol this lunar eclipse as the longest of the 21st century – almost 30 minutes longer than the Super Blue Blood Moon on January 31, 2018.

The additional and partial eclipse before and after the Maximum eclipse will see the stellar show around three hours and 55 minutes.

Dr. Klus said: "Once the total eclipse is over the redness will be going in because the moon will be in the darkest part of the Earth's shadow.

"There will be some sunlight on the moon and that will cover all the red light."

The eclipse, including partial shade, will end at approximately 12:30 pm BST. "

The total lunar eclipse is colloquially called the Moon of Blood because of the way refracted sunlight paints the red moon.

When the Moon is completely veiled in the shadow worn by the sun and the Earth, any light striking the stellar body is curved and scattered in the atmosphere.

The effect is known as Rayleigh Scattering and Dr. Klus says it's the same effect which makes the sunsets look red

She said, "The moon will look redder than normal, so you see what you call a Blood Moon because the light goes through the atmosphere . "
