From the beginning of the meeting, flagrant mistakes made the defenses of the champions of Poland. Apart from Mateusz Żyry, who made his first division debut, Inaki Astiz and William Remy were wrong.
However, the accusations of Dean Klafurica were closer to taking the lead. In the 12th minute, they showed a spectacular action. Żyro gave it perpendicularly to Cafu, he pulled Hamalainen out of Kasper, but Fin finished in the post.
Less than three minutes later, Patryk Tuszyński used Arkadiusz Malarz's misunderstanding with Remy over the center of Filip Starzyński and shot the ball from the bottom of the goal.
From the 21st minute, the hosts were already losing 0: 2. Adam Hlousek made a mistake on Alan Czerwiński in the penalty area. Initially, Judge Jarosław Przybył did not notice the offense, but after using the VAR system, he dictated a penalty, which Starzyński replaced.
The Polish champions responded 10 minutes later. Hamalainen used Miroslav Radovic's application, but after reusing the VAR system, Judge Przybył did not recognize the purpose because of the position of the burned Serb with a Polish passport.
In the 37th minute, Adam Hlousek opened the scoring with two defenders. The shot was a little accidental, which misled goalkeeper Dominik Hladun. At the end of the first half of the perfect odds of equalizing, he did not use Cafu.
In the second part of the meeting, there were a few less goal situations than in the first. Bartłomiej Pawłowski could not defeat the painter after the counter-attack. In turn, Marko Vesovic wasted a good opportunity to compensate.
The image of the game in favor of Legia was to be changed by two strikers summoned in the summer, who began Saturday's meeting on the bench of substitute: Carlitos and Jose Kante. The latter was distinguished by a shot without a head and the Spaniard was even less visible.
At the end of the match, Hamalainen and Żyro squandered excellent opportunities for Legia. He took his revenge, because in the 87th minute, the Russian Vladislav Sirotov entered the penalty area and Tuszyński led the ball towards the ribcage.
On Tuesday, Legia will play Spartak Trnava in the first leg of the second qualifying round of the Champions League.
