We are already far from the EU average. In the European Union as a whole, unemployment stood at 6.9% in June and 8.3% in the euro area
Unemployment is low and now?
These data differ from those reported by the Central Bureau of Statistics and the Ministry of Family, Labor. and social policy, according to which in June unemployment rose to 5.9 percent

This difference comes from the research methodology. The Polish Statistical Office and the Government take into account persons registered in the labor offices as unemployed. However, according to Eurostat, the unemployed is only an unemployed person, even if he would like to take it. Eurostat does not include people who are not looking for an active job.
But "Polish" unemployment is also low – not quite that it has fallen below 6%, the unemployed are still minus millions. The government, of course, benefits, but it also sees that this indicator will be harder to make even more difficult.
– It's time for another approach to meet the challenges – writes Labor Minister Elbbieta Rafalska. Because continuing to reduce the level of unemployment can be more and more difficult. A few months ago, there were opinions that in principle everyone who wants to work already works. This challenge is also the low level of professional activity of the Poles, which is below us in the EU and the problem of the long-term unemployed.
