A recently published study indicates that about half of parents send text or check social media when they drive with their young children in the car.
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Nursing School of the University of Pennsylvania are responsible for the research.
The study, published in the Journal of Pediatrics interviewed 760 parents and caregivers and found that many of them had been as naughty as recently.
Here's what the study found:

- One in seven said they had recently used social media while driving
Respondents were at least 18 years old, caring for a child aged 4 to 10 years old. In the past three months, they have driven their oldest child at least six times.

Research has found a direct correlation between driving history under the influence and the likelihood of all types of mobile phone use while driving with children in the car.
