Production, whose protagonist is the legendary "Warsaw courier", recounts several days before the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising. It is a joint venture of the Warsaw Uprising and the Pasikowski Museum, also co-financed by the Polish Film Institute (PISF)
. The feature film is based on a script and directed by Pasikowski, who notably played, among others, Jacek Stronga, telling the story of Colonel Ryszard Kuklinski. The action of his new production is to take place in Warsaw, London and elsewhere in Europe
– "Kurier" is a sensational film, a spy, a cinema action. The plot is inspired by historical events – it refers to the mission of Jan Nowak-Jeziorański. It's so interesting that it will give a sensational film that will interest the viewer. According to spokeswoman Jolanta Wąs at a press conference Sunday in Lodz, where pictures were shot next Tuesday.
She added that at this stage she can not reveal the details of the production, including the distribution. She informed that they will be made public at a press conference scheduled for Tuesday at the Warsaw Uprising Museum.
For the moment, it is officially known that the film will present, among others, Jan Frycz, who will play the role of General Kazimierz Sosnkowski, Tomasz Schuchardt, playing Nowak-Jeziorański's traveling companion, and Jakub Wesołowski
– My role is Wolski, who accompanies the courier on a journey through Poland and Europe. This helps in different situations. But the more I would say of these adventures, the more I would take the audience – explains Schuchardt.
The actor felt that it would be "more sensational than biographical cinema". – When I read the script, such images appeared to me. Such a cinema is very necessary, and Władysław Pasikowski knows exactly how to do it – he assured.
The images of the film began in June in Warsaw and will last until the end of August. In Lodz, they were implemented from Tuesday to Sunday, including in the bank at ul. Roosevelta, headquarters of the European Institute at ul. Piotrkowska and inside the Poznański Palace, where the banquet scene was shot. The painting is scheduled to be released in theaters next year.
Zdzisław Jeziorański (Jan Nowak is one of his pseudonyms of occupation) was born in 1914 in Berlin. He took part in the September campaign, then he became involved in underground activity – he was a member of the Union of Armed Struggle and Army soldier of the United States. Interior

After the war, he remained abroad. From 1948 he worked at BBC Radio. On May 3, 1952, he directed the first program of Radio Free Europe in Polish. He was director of the Polish section of RWE until 1976. He then moved to the United States, where he was the spokesman for Polish affairs.
He described his wartime experiences in a famous book called "Kurier Warsaw". He returned permanently to Poland in 2002. He actively joined the life of the country, he engaged, among others, in promoting the integration of Poland with the European Union. He died on January 20, 2005.
