Monday in Września (Wielkopolskie), the road connecting the economic activity area of Wrzesnia (WSAG) to the A2 motorway will be put into operation. Until now, the absence of a 400-meter section has hampered the development, among others, of the Volkswagen factories

The cost total investment amounted to nearly 2.2 million PLN. The communal road, which was supposed to connect the WSAG to the highway, has so far missed a connection of 400 meters with the roundabout at the junction of the motorway Września. The efforts of local self-government to complete it have lasted several years. The construction was possible thanks to an agreement concluded in 2017 between Autostrada Wielkopolska, the authorities of Września, GDDKiA and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Construction.

As said the mayor of Września, Tomasz Kałużny, the open road will improve communication, reduce congestion and provide direct access to the highway and national roads for investment areas of about 400 ha. The investment was financed by the own funds of the self-government

.The mayor added that "because of inquiries from investors, the first consultations on the validity of the l & # 39; investment took place in 2013. In January 2014, the mayor of Września met with representatives of GDDKiA and the Wielkopolska highway on the communication service of the investment areas of the municipality. The agreement on the completion of the road was finally reached in October 2017.

A month later, the municipality announced a tender for the construction. In December 2017, an agreement was signed with the company Budownictwo Drogowe Kasprzak

The construction of the switch was particularly dependent on the company Volkswagen Poznań operating at within the WSAG. In operation since 2016, the factory is the most modern and one of the largest VW factories in the world. It is also the biggest foreign investment in Poland up to now – its creation and equipment cost 800 million euros

. VW Crafter in Września is expected to produce around 80,000 this year. cars. According to the company, the expansion of strategic infrastructure in the area around the Volkswagen factory "will allow the full utilization of the capabilities of the entities operating there."
