He wants to stay at United

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho admitted that work was underway to extend the contract of one of the team's stars.

The Portuguese is slowly pulling his team out of the crisis and joining the fight for the most ambitious goals. For now, we've managed to get a promotion to the Champions League playoff phase, and David De Gea added a big brick. Golkiper often prevented his team from losing the goal, but more recently than his interventions, he was talking about his future.

The player's contract expires at the end of the season and, although United has the option to extend it for one year, more and more representatives are saying that the player's agent is slowly seeking a new employer for his client. Mourinho is however convinced that De Gea will stay at Old Trafford.

– I know he wants to stay – said the manager after the match with Young Boys.

– His agent wants to do what the competitor wants, and I also know that management intends to stop and work on it. I hope that we will sooner or later reach an agreement.

Then Mourinho congratulated De Gea and admitted that he considered him the best goalkeeper in the world. He suggested, however, that the rest of the training should not be at such a high level.

– Without David 's intervention, we would have no chance of winning the winning goal. It's the best goalkeeper in the world and if we want to be a great club, we have to have the best goalkeeper. In other positions, we must also bet on the best. In our case, however, we can only rely on the best goalkeeper.
