What causes the problems of IMGW? After the amendment of the water law, it passed under the tutelage of the Ministry of the Environment to the Ministry of the Maritime Economy and Inland Navigation. Funding has also changed: previously, the money came from the state budget and the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management. Now, IMGW is maintained from the National Water Farm, which does not have money alone. Last year, State Water provided PLN 35 million for the maintenance of the institute. According to the documents obtained by the journalists of the "DGP", it seems that the Government Security Center is aware of the financial problems of the IMGW.
