The huge success of "Kleru" by Wojtek Smarzowski has not escaped the attention of Western producers. The first in line are Italians who would like to transfer the film to the Vatican. The budget of "Clergy 2" can reach 20 million euros.
5 million 64,000,375 viewers (as of November 19)
and third place on the list of the most-watched films in Polish cinemas after 1989 – the decision to continue "Kler" would not be a surprise to anyone. Especially that Wojtek Smarzowski himself mentioned in interviews that he already knew how to start the "two" and that many priests with whom he would speak would be interested in the fate of the characters of "Kler" because they knew that the subject was not yet exhausted.

"Kler 2" – Jacek Braciak and Janusz Gajos at the Vatican?
It is possible, however, that "Kler 2" becomes an international production.
According to "Super Express"
in the queue for rights to continue "Kleru" began to install Western producers from Italy, Spain and Ireland. The Italians who are most likely are those who would like the action of the new "Kleru" to take place in the Vatican, of course.
It's hard to have a better backdrop for a film about the abuses of the Catholic Church, and this "movement" would also have a solid anchor in the history of the Smarzowski film – we remind you that one of the main characters of the "Clergy",
played by Jacek Braciak
Father Lisowski, at the end of the film, is sent to the Holy See. The hero of Janusz Gajos or the ruthless and influential archbishop Mordowicz should not have much trouble getting to the Vatican. A little less on the way would be for the parish priest of the village Trybus (Robert Więckiewicz).

"Kler 2" – from Poland to Italy for 20 million euros
As "Super Express" has learned, Italian producers are willing to spend up to $ 20 million for the continuation of the "Clergy" project. That's eight times more than the production cost of Smarzowski's film.
– If it is a project commissioned to the director and the producer goes to the money, then the producer should have a casting vote. The situation is so much easier that one of the heroes goes to the Vatican. So, theoretically, you can imagine the rest of its history under the conditions of the Vatican. Cooperation with Italian producers and actors would then be understandable. It is quite possible that an Italian producer wants to enter the right of decision. The right to make decisions is linked to the money – said SE "Ilona Łepkowska, scriptwriter of many Polish series.

"Kler" – nothing human is foreign to them
The main heroes of "Kler" are three priests. Lisowski (Jacek Braciak) is an opportunist who works in a curia of a big city and who thinks mainly of promotions in the hierarchy of the church and the move to the Vatican. Trybus (Robert Więckiewicz) is a village priest who does not really part with a drink and who has not made the order to live properly, because he has an affair with the parishioner Hanka ( Joanna Kulig). Kukuła (Arkadiusz Jakubik) is deeply religious and dedicated to priesthood service, but accusations of pedophilia are ruining her reputation day by day. All three combined a tragic accident from years ago.
