KLER is a new film by Wojciech Smarzowski, which will be released this year. According to the first descriptions, the story will focus on the clergy, and the director will reveal many sins of the Polish Catholic Church seen from the sacristy, touching uncomfortable and controversial topics. Today, we have more information on what production will be talking about.
The plot will focus on the clergy who joined a traumatic event many years ago. Now, every year, they meet that particular day to celebrate together the fact that they escaped with life then. In private, the clergy is completely different and does not always hear – Lisowski (he dreams of the Vatican and is currently working at the curia), Archbishop Mordowicz (influential and flowing in luxury, oversees the construction of the largest sanctuary in Poland) and the priest Trybus (parish priest of the rural parish, easily succumbs to human weaknesses). Among the heroes is also Kukuła, who loses day by day the confidence of the parishioners
The creators of the film announce that faith in this film will be a secondary issue. It is human activities that should generate general opposition. The situations we will see in the film are inspired by real events.
The cast includes Arkadiusz Jakubik (Kukuła), Robert Więckiewicz (Trybus priest), Jacek Braciak (Lisowski), Janusz Gajos (Archbishop Mordowicz), Joanna Kulig, Katarzyna Herman, Rafał Mohr, Robert Wabich, Henryk Talar and Izabela Kuna.
First on September 28 of this year
