Information on the death of the artist was provided by the oko.press portal. Kora or Olga Sipowicz was born Ostrowska, the first voto Jackowska, died at her home in Bliżowie near Roztocze, surrounded by her close relatives – her husband Kamil Sipowicz, two sons and friends.
Kora Jackowska was suffering from a genetic cancer of the ovary. From the beginning of the fight against cancer, the artist did not want to inform fans of his health condition. Then she changed her mind. The artist spoke for the first time of his cancer in an interview given to Małgorzata Domagalik for the monthly "Pani" in 2014.
Bark was born on June 8, 1951 in Krakow. As a teenager, she was strongly associated with Krakow's artistic community. She was friends with, among others, Piotr Skrzynecki, Jerzy Beres, Wieslaw Dymny and Krystyna Zachwatowicz. In those times she has also adopted her pseudonym. Shortly after graduation, she met Marek Jackowski, whom she married in December 1971. She worked for nearly two years as a psychotherapist in the Department of Child Psychiatry in Cracow. She sometimes performed at the concerts of her husband's new group – Osjan.
As a singer, Kora debuted with another group of Jackowski – created in 1975 by the duo M-a-M, formed with Milo Kurtis. Initially, she sang songs. In the late 1970s, the band M-a-M under the extended name Maanam, began playing rock, and Kora became his main singer.
Maanam has released 11 studio albums. He promoted a record number of hits, such as: "Boskie Buenos" "Oh, do not make so much noise" "I love you, my love" " It's just a tango " or " Lucciola ". Most of Maanamu's lyrics were written by Kora. After 32 years of operation, the band suspended it in December 2008.
