The city has a condition that 3.9 million PLN must be repaid now. The first match of Wisła in the new season of the league is scheduled for July 21. The stadium contract is a license requirement to play in the first league.
– We want to listen to the arguments of the officials and representatives of the Vistula Council and find an acceptable solution for the municipality, but it would also allow Wisła to get out of a difficult situation – explains Andrzej Hawranek, president of the Budget Committee of the City of Krakow.

– I do not quite understand the situation in which Cracovia pays 450,000 euros to rent a stadium. PLN per year, and Wisła had a rate of about 3 million PLN. I will ask for clarification as to why this happens – adds Councilor Hawranek.
In the case of the stadium at ul. In August 2011, the municipality of Krakow signed with MKS Cracovia (a company in which Comarch holds a majority stake, and a minority city) a lease agreement for the stadium of ul. Puddle. According to her, Cracovia had to pay an annual rent of PLN 726,663 plus VAT. In 2013, an annex to the agreement was signed, according to which, as of 1 January 2013, the rental fee was reduced to 450,039 PLN plus VAT. The contract stipulates that the amount has been changed to a lesser amount due to the change in the value of the property due to Cracovia's lower advertising revenues.
– Both stadiums are urban, they were built for public money. I would like to know where there are such big differences in fees, why Cracovia could have been helped by cutting costs, and why the city of Wisła can not help – says Councilor Hawranek. – In the most extreme case, Wisła will stop playing at the stadium at ul. Reymont, and the city will have to maintain this object anyway. That's why we want to talk about the problem and find a way out – says Councilor Hawranek.
Stadium at ul. Revision on 33 thousand seats are twice as large as the stadium at ul. Kałża (more than 15 000 places). Considering the size of the object, Wisła should pay twice as much – about 900 000. zł. per year. However, it turns out that other factors were taken into account when estimating fees. We asked in the municipality what influenced the determination of the rent for the stadium at ul. Reymont for an amount of about 3 million PLN per year. We received a response that the rate was determined by negotiation, taking into account the cost of maintaining the facility.
Annual cost of operation of the stadium at ul. Reymont is about 5 million zlotys. At the end of last year, ZIS informed that the product of the rental of the facility was PLN 4.2 million. Most of this money is the rent paid by the Vistula (3 million zlotys), the remaining money comes from, among other things, the rent of offices under the stands.
Cracovia is the operator of the stadium, which means that he pays the rent and bears the costs of operating the facility, which is available throughout the year. ;year. Wisła rents the entire stadium only for individual matches, and permanently in some rooms under the stands at its offices.
Remember that in the case of Cracovia, the city has built a stadium adapted to the needs of this club. It was similar in the case of Wisła, who wanted to have an arena for more than 20,000 people. viewers with commercial functions under the stands, so that the object can win one on the other. In connection with Krakow's efforts to host the Euro 2012 (later, it turned out that nothing was happening), the city decided to change projects and build a bigger stadium for more 30,000 people. locations. This involved much higher construction costs and subsequent maintenance of the stadium. The cost of building the stadium at ul. Reymont is estimated at about PLN 600 million. However, the carrying amount of this facility is currently PLN 392,346,000.
Wisła is indebted to ZIKiT (3.9 million PLN mentioned) and ZIS – 1 million PLN 394 thousand. zł. Wisła also has arrears related to unpaid property tax in the amount of 69,000 PLN. zł. On May 29, the Krakow District Court ordered the company to pay the municipality an amount of nearly 1.4 million zlotys, to which the club objected.
What will happen if Wisła fails to sign a new contract for the rental of a stadium in Krakow? The club representatives told us that plan B had been prepared, but we were not given details, but in such a situation, Wisła would have to sign a contract to use the facility in another city, for example Nieciecza or Sosnowiec.
