Sara Takanashi won the qualifications for the first Women's World Cup competition in Lillehammer (HS98). The Japanese representative won after the jump over a distance of 96 m. Anna Twardosz was promoted to Friday's competition.
In qualifying, Sara Takanashi has left no chance to her rivals. The triple winner of Crystal Ball took off at 96 meters and exceeded by 15.2 points the Russian Sofia Tikhonova (95 m). Eva Pinkelnig (97m) took third place, closely followed by Daniel Ania Iraschko-Stolz (89.5m) and Lidija Yakovlev (90.5m).
Olympic champion Maren Lundby was sixth with a score of 84 meters. The top ten also included Silje Opseth (84.5m), Maja Vtic (88.5m), Anna Odine Stoerm (88.5m) and Katharina Althaus (84m).
Anna Twardosz was promoted to Friday's contest. In her attempt, the Polish scored 82.5 meters, which allowed her to take the thirty-third place.
Kamila Karpiel (71 m) finished her 45th position. Kinga Rajda was disqualified for the overall illegal.
The qualifications were contested from the 16th and 14th starting beams.
On Friday, the first Women's World Cup competition in Lillehammer will take place. At 16:30, the beginning of the series of tests is planned. The competition itself must start at 5.30pm.
