The current regulations authorize assistance to farmers in the form of redemption contributions to the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund (KRUS) or the agricultural tax contributions, exemption from payment of land rent, extension of commitments contracted. There is also a possibility of obtaining a low interest rate loan for resumption of production by farmers. And on farms where individual losses exceed 70%, it is possible to provide budget support directly.
The additional aid announced by the Minister of Agriculture, Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski, is a form of subsidized per hectare of damaged crops. The decision on the amount of subsidies should be known after the government meeting on Tuesday.
