Endless files: for a ticket, for a group, for a beer or for an exorbitant waffle. July rain and mud. Traffic jams. Nightmarish prices of tickets. The largest and most important music festival in Poland has its disadvantages. So what happens if, after several weeks of complaints about the prices of plane tickets at Kosakowo airport, tens of thousands of people are having a good time? The Open Festival & # 39; er has just started

Open & # 39; er Festival is alive and well!

The fact that the festival is fast approaching can be seen by watching the posts on Facebook. Day by day more and more people are looking for tickets for Thursday, passes, tickets for Wednesday … This year, the first exhausted in a flash, it will be Thursday Depeche Mode, whose fans do not miss any Polish concert. On Saturday, the title is Bruno Mars, probably because of this musical climate, fans have decided to buy tickets for single days. Of course, the price of the ticket was also important, this year it is almost 600 PLN.

Probably also through the Opener Awards is still a festival not for twenty years, though it's growing year by year, it's still fun for fans a little older. It is very easy to know who is debuting as a festival and who is a seasoned visitor of the event. Someone who has not been to the opening will have sandals, shorts and a t-shirt; and someone who has seen more than one festival at Gdynia Airport has a bag full of things for change and coverage.

Every year the organizers try to cope with the task. They provide free buses from Gdynia center, hundreds of security guards, thousands of roofs. This year, they have probably invited a record number of foodtrucks. The queues are drawn despite the absurd prices. The cheapest thing here is fries for 19 zlotys, so that's only more expensive.

I speak with two Swedes under a foodtruck with Greek food, two Baltic newcomers assure me that they are coming here (this is their fourth Open & # 39; er), "because it is very cheap". This year they only came one day specifically for Nick Cave. Their concert certainly did not disappoint. The charismatic musician, as usual, made a fantastic contact with the audience, and some fans certainly made a palpitation when he took them on stage. It's a shame that he did not act as the last head of the day, the dark night gives his concerts an even more magical character.

I speak to Marta, a Polish woman who lives in Oslo every day, she is her fifth Open & # 39; er. How is he preparing for the festival? "I dress up to make it comfortable … but it's cool" Does he have warm clothes? " Of course! He shows me a packed backpack.

Open & # 39; er is not only music, it is also theater, art, fashion … If anyone? one has enough people, he can go into the field of Non Governmental Organizations which, unfortunately, empties himself. Without gadgets, nothing to buy on the stands, they are representatives of foundations and organizations: ecological, feminist, fighting for the rights of LGBT people and others. It seems that this area is so embarrassing for the nose, for those who blame Open for being a celebration of consumerism. Yet, apart from fashion, food and brocade, music is the most important thing about girls' faces. And this Open gagne wins again.
