PKP Intercity spokesperson Agnieszka Serbeńska confirmed the signing of the contract.
The delivery of the vehicle to Alstom is scheduled for December and the repair time is 584 days from the transfer of the warehouse for repair – he informs.
The cost of the repair will be 10.5 million euros gross (approximately 45 million zlotys).
This represents half the price of the new Pendolino warehouse, because for 20 trains of this type, the carrier has paid 400 million euros, or 20 million euros for one.
Only 4 million zlotys will be covered by the truck driver's liability insurancewho caused the accident. The remaining part must be covered with the autocasco of PKP Intercity. This information was provided by the carrier in February, estimating the initial costs of the repair.
