The National Council for Broadcasting and Television has pre-estimated RTV subscription revenues in 2019. The forecasts adopted in accordance with the law currently in force stipulate that citizens who comply with the regulations will pay 650 million zlotys. More than half (50.98%) will go to Telewizja Polska – 338.3 million PLN. The rest will be split between Polish radio and regional speakers (PLN 159.3 million)
Last year, according to virtual media, 1.06 million households paid about 6.7 million households registered receivers. More than 3.5 million are exempt from this obligation. The receivers (radio and television) recorded only half of the 13 million Polish households

The subscription rates without change
The payers will certainly be happy that the subscription rates remain unchanged. The monthly fee for radio and television will still be 22.7 PLN, and for the radio alone, 7 PLN Pay the subscription in advance for a whole year will cost PLN 245.15, which is the most cost-effective solution if you have to pay.
The penalty insurance is of course sanctioned for not having paid the RTV subscription. It is thirty times the amount of the monthly subscription (currently PLN 681) plus the need to pay late fees. The National Broadcasting Council also recalls that signing a contract with a cable or satellite operator does not release the RTV subscription.

PST will need a budget drip?
Planned 330 million PLN subscription proceeds will cover a small portion of the costs incurred by TVP. "News" or TV production salaries, for example, are very expensive, while revenues in 2019 will be lower than in 2017 or current. But Telewizja Polska has already started in 2017 and 2018 compensation for the loss of income from the subscription (related to the release of certain groups of people from the contribution in 2010 – 2017) – in 2017, TVP 266 was added to expenses of 355.1 million charges PLN 5 million, and this year the taxpayers added PLN 593.5 million
And although 330 million zlotys are quite high, next year will not be the World Cup, so there will be no ad-hoc advertising revenue (although, in this respect, costs will likely be lower). Meanwhile, TVP's flagship programs such as "Wiadomości" or "Teleexpress" lose viewers, which means that regular advertising revenue in the best air times may be lower. Viewers are still drawn to programs such as the cult TV show "One of Ten" or TV series (including the heat received by viewers and coldly by critics and historians "Crown of Kings"), but that do not just change to improve the results of TVP.
