The train carrying the set derailed Wednesday on the road between Suwałki and Augustow (Podlaskie province). Traffic in this place has been stopped. The elimination of losses will last at least until Thursday.
The composition of 15 wagons fell off track after 16 hours on the Suwałki-Augustów road. Nothing happened to anyone, but traffic on that road was stopped.
As Polskie Linie Kolejowe reports, on the blocked section of PKP Intercity and Przewozy Regionalne, they launched a replacement call.
Two technical rescue trains were sent to the scene of the accident. According to Karol Jakubowski of PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe, the road will not be cleared Wednesday. He added that the technical services will work on Thursday.
