Four other members of a youth football team were pulled from a flooded cave during a second round of rescue operations in Thailand on Monday. The 12 boys and their trainer were trapped in the cave for two weeks.

Four were saved over the weekend. On Monday, four others were transported to the hospital.

The new stage began around 11 am local time (midnight ET), and operations ceased overnight, confirmed a source at CBS News. Four boys and their trainer stayed inside the cave.

The boys, aged 11 to 16, and their 25-year-old coach found themselves stuck when they went exploring inside after a practice match. The monsoon flood blocked their escape and prevented rescuers from finding them for almost 10 days.

The four who were rescued previously were transported to Chiang Rai Hospital for evaluation. Two divers were assigned to each child to help them navigate the narrow and dangerous passages. According to the authorities, the mission could last from two to four days

. On Friday, the death of an old Thai marine SEAL highlighted the risks. The diver, the first casualty of the rescue operation, was working as a volunteer and died on a mission to place oxygen cartridges along the route.

Narangsak Osottanakorn, acting governor of Chiang Rai, said Saturday that in recent days had created the "perfect" conditions for an underwater evacuation. These conditions will not last if the rain resumes, he says.

Heavy rain began to fall as soon as all four were removed from the cave. Narongsak said the experts told him that the new rain could reduce the non-flooded space where the boys shelter at 108 square feet.
