Edward Jancarz is a true legend of Polish slag. The World Cup bronze medalist, a player from Stal Gorzów and the national team, was a great athlete. He could not find himself after finishing his career. He died in dramatic circumstances. During a household quarrel, he was stabbed by a second wife, Catherine.
The Jancarz monument was built in 2005. It was developed by a group of city lovers with former president Stal Jerzy Synowcem at the helm. – This was a place where Polish and international tourists were taking pictures, says Michał Kugler, former Vice President of Stal. – I do not understand how anyone could paint the face of a cattle player with white paint and destroy the monument in this way. As a man closely related to Stal and Gorzow, I deeply regret it. The scandal is hardly said.
Until now, the first Polish ash monument has bothered anyone. Yes, it was adorned with steel t-shirts and scarves or representation, and a few months ago a t-shirt bearing the inscription "Constitution", but all these events were enjoyable. However, vandalism has never occurred.
– I think it was the farce of a young man who was bored – says Jacek Gumowski, former marketing manager at Stal. – Nothing else, because there are no fanatical animosities related to Janowiec. It was not just a legend of steel. The office will probably be interested in the question. Steel can also do beautiful things now. It means? Repair a monument in a social act, showing that he cares about the people who wrote the club's history – he acknowledges.
