– Are you tired of judging? – We started a conversation with a former judge.
– Absolutely not. It was a beautiful time that I remember very well. Such a hobby for the judges that allowed me to practice all the time in speed sports and to make many valuable knowledge. President Łukasz Sady has already proposed to work in the club several times before. I've always said that I was not interested. This year the activists have proposed to work after the departure of the PGE team Ekstraliga, because the current director and team leader – Mirosław Cierniak – has indicated that the he wanted to focus on his son's career development. However, I discovered that we can only return to the subject after the end of the contest. So we stayed to discuss in October and decided that the proposal was interesting enough to change something. That's why, in early November, I made the decision to return to work in the club.
– What are the ambitions to work in the manager of the 2019 season, Tomasz Proszowski?
– President of Orła Łódź, Witold Skrzydlewski, said: First of all, we must make sure we can think of something more. In the end, we want to fight for the first four. We do not hide that our goal is not to promote PGE Ekstraliga. First, we want to rectify some points after a difficult and extraligal season. We are also waiting for a new stadium, meeting the demands of the elite speedways. For sure, however, we will not let go. We will do our best, and the league is so level that in principle everyone can be first and last.
– You will have two players who spent most of last season on the substitutes' bench: Wiktor Kułakow and Artur Czaja. What idea to unlock them?
– I would not call it the need to unlock. In fact, Kułakow did not have many opportunities to play in the league, but he competed in the Russian league and in many other competitions. From what I've heard, he also practiced practically every training in Tarnów before the league matches. He certainly did not lose the pace of his conduct. Artur Czaja has certainly competed less frequently this year. He was part of the team (ROW Rybnik – editorial no.), Which aimed at promoting and did not win the fight for the composition. However, when he came to Tarnów at the Krystian Rempała Memorial at the end of the season, he did a sensational job. 17 points and rivals extralignant to the program (Bartosz Smektała and Dominik Kubera – note editor), a result that deserves to be hailed. Two days earlier, he had been training on our track and had admitted that it was enough for him to remember all the "bends". I am convinced that Kułakow and I will be among the leaders of our team.
– Tarnowski's runway in the environment is considered specific. The visiting teams have a problem with him. Will it be your biggest asset again?
– I think so. Especially since we have an elderly person, to whom he is doing very well. For Peter Ljung, this will be the third contract with the Tarnów team. Our establishment suits him very well. I think that in 2019 he can play the role in our team. In 2017, when the team was beaten for promotion within PGE Ekstraliga, it was played by Kenneth Bjerre. To that we have Czaja and Artura Mroczka. So for five seniors, up to three who in 2017 were promoted in the elite with the EU. If you add your points to this: Kułakow, Daniel Kaczmarek and the juniors, I think we will be extremely strong at home. In addition, Kaczmarek stressed that one of the factors that had motivated his move to Tarnów was the track. Already this year, when he arrived in the league match with the team Get Well, he showed that he felt good on the site of Mościce. Of Toruń's four individual victories, three were his authors.
– According to experts, the biggest drawback of the composition of Union Azoty Group for 2019 is the lack of reserves. There are five senior places in the team and as many players under contract.
– We had some players on the bottom of the screen, but we could not agree. We wanted a runner at the level of those we already have in the lineup. We did not want to look for someone who would train, who would look and who would be ready to ride at the earliest in two or three years. In the end, we assumed that we had 5 elderly people and we give them psychological comfort. There will be no fight for the composition, the competition during pre-season training. When, during the matches, it is necessary to cooperate, the teams of some Polish teams are so numerous that there will be many volunteers. Some teams have eight seniors and, in my opinion, will be able to use a maximum of 6 to 7 players.
– What will Tarnów's preparations look like for the season?
– Our seniors are scattered in Poland and Europe, so they will be individually prepared. They are proven players. We trust them and they also have their methods tested. The young people will be occupied by Paweł Baran. He has been doing this for years and he is doing it very well. The juniors will certainly work intensively: hall, ground, pool, gym, etc. We have such guys who like the activity. You do not have to chase them to work. Mateusz Cierniak, for example, recently took part in the race celebrating Independence Day. For now, we do not plan pre-camp, but we do not exclude several days of consultations.
– You mentioned that the league is level, but many experts see it as his favorite, at the head of the most important – ROW Rybnik.
– Rybnik really looks better on paper, especially when it comes to this team, Grigory Łaguta. The Russians first had to return after May 15, and then it was announced that it would be possible after the fourth round. Recently, however, I saw a document that is supposed to be the second half of May. Then the league would have played 5-6 games, almost half of the turn. It would mean a bit of trouble for Rybnikans. In general, however, I try not to look at the job site of someone else, to concentrate and to do everything so that Tarnow 's team goes out of their way. the best possible. What will he give us in the end? This will show the track.
