On Wednesday, the Silesian police said the forensic doctor had been conducting the proceedings since January 2015. The last of the 492 charges against him related to the November 2017 act. The first signals about the activity the doctor were received by the police in January 2015.

When the agents determined that the dentist could use illegal billing practices with patients and with NFZ, they began collecting long-term evidence. Their work – under the supervision of the local prosecutor's office – resulted in the laying of an indictment.

The dentist's crime consisted of submitting to the National Health Fund reports on the benefits allegedly made and claims already paid by the patients. The value of losses of the Silesian branch of the NFZ was calculated as part of the survey for more than 26,000 people. PLN, patient losses rise to nearly 10,000 zł.

To reach the victims, investigators had to check thousands of documents and interview several hundred people. They established 496 witnesses and 87 victims. Most of the allegations concerned the situation when in fact the treatment had taken place in full paid private visits and the dentist in the submitted documents had requested a refund.

In this way, she was paid twice for a service. There have also been instances where interviewees have not confirmed the performance of the services provided by the NFZ doctor. In total, the woman heard 492 charges. She did not plead guilty to her charges. The trial can punish up to 8 years in prison.
