On Wednesday, Sławomir Peszko appeared before the League Committee, which called for help in connection with his behavior during the match against Jagiellonian Bialystok. The Polish representative in a brutal manner treated the player Jagiellonia Białystok Arvydas Novikovas, for which he was expelled from the field. The midfielder will suffer the serious consequences of this fault. As it was his next pride in the first division, he was certain that he was facing severe punishment.

The League Commission had no qualms about the midfielder, despite the fact that he showed remorse through the Instagrama, excusing of his behavior. It did not help. The League Commission has pronounced a severe verdict. She disqualified the player for three months. In addition, Peszko has to pay 30,000 PLN. As if that was not enough, he also received a financial penalty from the club. The video with the Peszek offense will be seen below.

– The player's behavior was different from the norms and rules adopted. It did not have a sporting character, and above all it was characterized by intentional and unrelated to football. The evidence gathered by the commission of the League showed that the player was deprived of a real chance to recover the ball – explained KL chairman Jarosław Poturnicki after the meeting. This is the highest dimension of the penalty imposed by this body on any player. – The Commission stresses that this action has nothing to do with the sports competition. The consequences of this behavior could be drastic for the soiled and expose it to a long-term injury. In the opinion of the commission, the penalty imposed is adequate to the offense, and its amount was determined after analyzing the situation and listening to the explanations of the footballer Lechia – added Poturnicki.

Peszko will only return to play in October. Until then, he can only appear on the reserves that the club has reactivated this season. Fortunately for the residents of Gdańsk, coach Piotr Stokowiec has other wingers in the team. Lukaš Haraslin is in good shape, Michał Mak is fighting for himself, and Flavio Paixao can appear on the side if necessary.
