The rebuilding of the Poznań – Warsaw railway line has been taking place since June 2017. From that moment, the passengers between Wrzesnia and Konin were transporting substitute transport – in connection with the work carried out, the line on this section was completely excluded for rail traffic.
PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe said that due to the completion of the first phase of work and the return of deposits On the tracks between Września and Konin, it will be possible to take a train from Poznań to Konin from Sunday.
As part of the investment, the construction of a new island platform was completed in Konin. At the station, the previous underpass is being renovated. The construction of a new passage on the extension of ul. Track. The station has already installed 15 new connections and 20 are mounted.
At the Podstolice station, passengers are already using parts of the new platform. In addition, 24 new switches were installed. Work on track construction is complete.
Currently, the next stage of work begins on the modernized line. Their scope of application will require stopping rail traffic on a two-way section between Konin and Barłogami, about 40 km long.
The company Koleje Wielkopolskie reports that as part of the next phase of the project "Modernization of the railway line E-20 Poznań – other works – section Sochaczew – Swarzędz", the break in railway traffic between Konin and Kutno will last until 39, in June 2019

Through the investment, trains between Wielkopolska and Mazowsze will go more efficiently. Passengers will benefit from a better comfort of service. The completion of the modernization is planned for the end of 2020
