Jędrzej Pawlak said that most applications, 40, were in Pabianice. – They were mainly related to flooding of basements and houses, as well as to wells and sewers blocked, flooded streets mainly in the center of Pabianice – he said. He added that the requests did not concern strategic facilities such as a hospital or institutions.
The provincial headquarters of the fire department reported that in Olsztyn, Warmia and Mazury on Sunday there were more than 100 storm-related events. About 60 interventions concerned the flooding of premises and basements. Most of these situations were recorded in Nowe Miasto Lubawskie and in the Nowy Dwosci and Działdowo poviats. About 40 applications involved overturned trees and broken branches.
About 80 times the firefighters took turns in Silesia. Mainly, it was to pump water from basements and roads. For a while, National Roads Nos. 11 and 94 were impassable and the Pyrzowice Airport Service indicated that due to storms, we should expect delays in flights.
