Summer GP at Wisła: a win for Stoch, second place for Veins, Kubacki's bad luck

Eleven Poles took part in the individual competition at the Wisła Summer Grand Prix. Kamil Stoch won the qualification, which ran 137 meters, the second was Piotr Zyla, who jumped 131 meters. In addition to the two, the top ten also included the sixth Aleksander Zniszczol (126.5 meters) and the tenth Maciej Kot (124 meters). 11th was Tomasz Pilch (125 meters), 12. Paweł Wąsek (127 meters) and 13. Jakub Wolny (126 meters). Dawid Kubacki, 16th after the jump on 121.5 meters and Stefan Hula, had a little less success – he was right behind "Mustafem" despite the jump of one meter more. Przemysław Kantyka (30, 124 meters) and Andrzej Stękała (42, 118 meters) qualified for the competition.

Our players aroused fans' appetite after a team competition in which, with a huge advantage – more than 70 points – they surpassed Germans and Norwegians. Kamil Stoch, who flew 127.5 meters, was the best in the test series before the competition. He leads Johann Andre Forfang (130.5 meters) and Timi Zajc (127.5 meters). Four Poles were right behind them. Żyła (128 meters), Kot (126.5 meters), Wolny (126 meters) and Kubacki (127.5 meters). If the series of tests was a competition, Hula (19) and Kantyka (30) would also arrive at the final round, both jumped 122.5 meters. In the best 30s there would not be Pilch (31, 121.5 meters), Wąsek (36,119.5 meters), Zniszczol (38, 118 meters) and Stękała, which was 47th and landed five meters more near Zniszczoła.

She moaned even less in the competition – 110.5 meters and placed in the last position. Wąsek landed half a meter before point K and it gave him 39th place.

The remaining Polish competitors were promoted to the second series. Pilch and Zniszczoł showed that their jumps in the series of trials were just an accident at work. The first slipped 127 meters and it was 11th, and the second after the 124-meter flight was 20. The hymn jumped Zabrze by one meter and after the first lap it was 17th. Wolny also jumped 124 meters and was just behind the Kantyka

. At a certain time, the conditions deteriorated, some players gave very short jumps, but Kot succeeded without any major problem. 124.5 meters marked 15th place. The nearest Pole who advanced to the second set jumped Hula, however, 122.5 meters combined with positive points for the beam and the wind meant 16th place. The fifth after the first series was Dawid Kubacki. The popular "Mustaf" landed in the 126th meter

a 130.5 meter high jump confirming Żyła, which earned him second place. He certainly led Stoch, who shot a torpedo landing on the 132nd meter. The podium before the final series was completed by Killian Peier, who reached 129.5 meters

. Destroyer in the second round did not perform as well as in the first series. 117.5 meters meant a 25th position. Wolny landed eight meters away and moved to 12th. He passed, among others The Song, which after the jump on 119 meters fell to 21st place and Hula. That, in turn, reached point K and he was 19 years old. Maciej Kot thanks to the jump on 125.5 meters ended the fight in 11th position.
123 feet pilch and the nephew of Adam Adam Malysz took the 17th place. A meter and a half farther than in the first series, Kubacki flew, but he did not jump on the podium – he finished the competition in fourth place. The podium missed 0.2 point

The competition was won by Stoch, who flew 126.5 meters in the second series. The same distance was reached by Żyła and allowed him to maintain the second position. The third was Halvor Egner Granerud, who jumped 129 meters

The next competition will be played on July 28 in German Hinterzarten.
