The collapse of Sunday and Sunday trade-free trade has been in effect for several months, but many people do not remember it, which is a Sunday shopping.
Sundays of July 2018
In July, three Sundays leave without exchange. July 22 is the next Sunday. Trading Sunday falls on July 29th. In addition, the trading day was only July 1.
The Sunday trade ban does not mean, however, that on days like July 22, we can not buy anything completely. Some shops in the nearest neighborhood are definitely open also on Sunday without trade. Which stores are open on Sundays?
Lidl, Tesco, ¯abka and Biedronka – whose stores open on July 22nd.
Popular stores such as Tesco, Lidl and Carrefour are closed on Sunday without trade, ie. July 22nd. And how will the ¯abka and Biedronka be open? Here, the exception to the trade ban on Sunday is quite long. Swords are open if the owner decides. A ladybug can be opened on July 22, if the store is located at the station. This situation occurs, inter alia, in Warsaw and Krakow.
Shops closed on Sundays. Exceptions
According to the regulations regarding the ban on Sunday trading, whether or not it occurs on a trading day, they may sell shops such as pharmacies, bakeries, florists or service stations. In addition, all kinds of gastronomic points are open (restaurants, confectioneries, cafes, ice cream parlors), tourist facilities (hotels, postcard shops, shops in train stations), as well as cultural institutions (museums, cinemas, theaters).
Sundays on the trade. There will be changes
The most controversial issue was the provision on the possibility of trading in post offices and in stores where the owner or his relative will work. The recipe for trading in post offices has been used by the popular network of shops, ¯abka, which has an agreement, among others with Poczta Polska
The second rule is the reason for a lot of abuse. As announced Deputy Minister of Labor Stanisław Szwed, an amendment to the law on the prohibition of trade is necessary. The draft amendment to the Sunday trade ban will be submitted by members after the holidays and is expected to come into effect in January 2019.
Which stores will remain open on Sundays? We will probably know it soon.
