To fight the fire, apart from the firefighters, an army and a civil defense were directed. 500 volunteers came to this last service, which stopped the holidays to help with the operation of fighting the fire. More than 2,000 volunteers have also applied to the Red Cross.
Sweden can also count on the help of many European countries, including Poland, Italy, Germany, France, Austria, Portugal, Lithuania and Denmark. Nearly 140 firefighters and 44 rescue and extinction vehicles came from our country. Today, they have to reach the town of Sveg, in the Jämtland region of central Sweden. In the fire fighting operation, will mainly participate rescuers from Zachodniopomorskie and Wielkopolskie provinces. In addition, they will be supported by the fire brigade of Mazovia and the headquarters of the National Fire Service. The mission is scheduled for a period of up to 14 days.
