The Airbus Helicopters factory will be built in Hungary instead of in Poland

According to the "Budapest Business Journal", the agreement on the construction of the plant was signed on December 17, 2018. However, the details of the investment have now been established. The Airbus Helicopters factory will be built in Gyula, 195 kilometers from Budapest and close to the Romanian border. Starting in 2021, production of the components needed for migrant production will start there.

The factory will be manufactured, among others a metal subassembly for the main gears, which will then be sent to other AH factories located throughout Europe. Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said that the Hungarian government would train our employees at the Academy of the Aircraft Industry. The cooperation with Airbus Helicopters began a year ago when the Hungarian government signed the contract for the delivery of 36 migrants H145M and H225M Caracal, which will be included in the Hforce weapon system.

The Gyula plant will be managed by a joint venture – Airbus Helicopters will own 51%, the rest will be one of Hungary's treasures. The purchase of new migrations and the establishment of a production base is one of the activities related to the technical modernization of the Hungarian Armed Forces. In 2018, this country will allocate 1.72 billion zlotys (30% of the total defense budget) to the renewal of the army. By 2026, the Hungarian government wants to devote 2% of its GDP to defense and thus adapt to the latest recommendations of NATO.

In 2018, the portal menway.interia.pl informs about the draft agreement between Airbus Helicopters and the Polish government. The European Concert wants to cooperate with the military airline at ód where migrations and components useful to their production can be produced. The factory belonged to more than 90% to the Polish Treasury. Thanks to the Ód plant plant, Radom and Dblin, 6,000 jobs could be created. Unfortunately, the current government breaks off discussions with Airbus.
