In Poland drought has increased its range in the Pomeranian and Kujawy Lake District areas. However, the situation has improved in the eastern part of the Masurian Lake District, in the southern part of Mazovia and in the northern part of the Lublin region.
Drought affects all types of IUNG-controlled crops, namely spring cereals, winter cereals, legumes, ground vegetables, strawberries, tobacco, sugar beets, corn silage, cereal maize, hops, potatoes earth, fruit shrubs, rapeseed rapeseed.
According to the report, drought is the biggest threat to rapeseed and agrimony. In these cultures, it has been recorded in no less than 10 provinces and half (54 percent) of the municipalities in our country. In total, it covered an area occupying 25 per cent of arable land. The worst is in the following provinces: Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Lubuskie and Zachodniopomorskie. In these areas, drought affected rapeseed crops in all communes.
Water shortages and drought represent a very high risk also for spring cereals. In Poland, the drought of these plants was recorded in 11 provinces. It covered all municipalities in the following provinces: Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Lubuskie and Zachodniopomorskie

According to the message of the IUNG, "the weather conditions that occurred during the monitored period resulted in an additional increase in water shortages for many groups and species of cultures. Recent weather conditions have caused this six-season period currently monitored in the following crops: rapeseed and rapeseed, hops, potatoes, sugar beets and corn for grain and silage have increased the area, as well as the number of municipalities affected by the drought. "
