The plane of the Italian airline Blue Panorama Airlines, chartered by the ITAKA travel agency, took off Friday from Chopin airport and flew to Madagascar. During the flight, one of the passengers started to rush. The man also threatened other passengers, so the pilots decided to make an emergency landing at Mombasa airport.
As part of the incident, the Department of Foreign Affairs sent a message to the editorial board of TVN24. The MFA confirms that "an incident involving a Polish citizen at Mombasa airport" occurred.
A man was escorted from a handcuffed plane by special services. The Foreign Ministry added in the statement that the Consul of the Republic of Poland is in contact with the local services. It also provides support to the Polish citizen.
