The support of FBI employees for their leadership has diminished,

WASHINGTON (CNN) – Attitudes of FBI employees about agency leadership have deteriorated over the past year, according to the latest "survey on the climate of the FBI.

The survey, obtained by the National Security Lawfare blog through a FOIA trial, reveals that employees do not necessarily agree with the "vision" of FBI director Christopher Wray.

In a question asking whether employees were supportive of the director's vision and ideas, there was a visible decline in those who agreed with past years' responses, a graph of averages established by Lawfare.

Wray took the helm of the FBI after President Donald Trump fired ex-director James Comey in May of last year. Since the election of Trump, the FBI has faced repeated attacks and scrutiny from the president himself as well as other lawmakers.

Last week, FBI agent Peter Strzok testified before the House in a hoarse hearing of nearly 10 hours in which he defended his actions in the emails of Hillary Clinton and Russia .

Later, Trump called his testimony "an absolute disgrace".

"I thought (the testimony of Strzok) was an absolute disgrace, where he wants to do things against me even before I was, I guess even before being the candidate.He was a shame, "said Trump during an interview with CBS News in his Turnberry station, Scotland

Wray spoke out in favor of the FBI, as in his testimony in May in front of the House Intelligence Committee, but he also refused to respond directly to Trump's criticism of the office.

According to Lawfare, the survey was conducted in February and March.

Lawfare also asked questions, including asking employees what their level of respect was for senior FBI officials and whether FBI senior executives were of a high standard of honesty and fairness. 39; integrity. These two questions also showed a decrease in positive responses.
