This can be bad news for all Telepizza fans. According to the Spanish site elEconomista.es, the company wants to withdraw from several markets, especially in Poland, where Pizza Hut must take over the premises
The information from the Spanish media was a real surprise for many fans of pizza. According to ElEconomista.es, Telepizza intends to withdraw from Poland, Russia, France, Britain, Malta, Morocco, Angola and the Czech Republic. There are 138 premises in these markets, of which 119 are in Poland. The Spanish network intends to focus on the Spanish, Portuguese and Swiss markets as well as the Latin American countries.
Where does this decision come from? According to the Spanish media, Telepizza in this area must become the largest franchisee of the Pizza Hut network. This means a gradual "takeover" of these markets. And what does Pizza Hut win in return?
It turns out that it is Pizza Hut that is supposed to be the main Telepizza franchisee among others in Poland. This means that the premises of Telepizza will not be closed, but will get a change of sign.
In an interview with Money.pl, the information was commented by the marketing department of Telepizza Poland. According to information, Telepizza should not close the stores in our country. "Telepizza denies it intends to close its stores in Poland," he said. It should also be noted that the Spanish media do not talk about closing premises, but only to transfer them to franchisees, so that the information should not exclude each other.
