The Central Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested former KNF leader Marek Ch on Tuesday 27 November. He was transferred to the prosecutor's office in Katowice, where he was accused of corruption.
Because of its involvement in the corruption scandal, the media has been scanning its current activities. Among other things, he is a lecturer and now also a businessman.
Marek Ch. Founded in 2011, a company called MCC Grupa. She is in charge of financial advice, expertises and economic analyzes. On the website, he boasts of cooperating with ministries or with the Constitutional Court. In 2013, the wife of the former head of the Financial Supervisory Authority, Joanna Chrzanowska, sat on the board of directors of the company.
The company's financial statements show that Chrzanowski's business did not go well. From 2013 to 2015, the business was down. How was it later? We do not know because there are no financial statements for 2016 and 2017.
In March 2016, Marek Ch. He transferred the shares of the company to his wife. That's because he started developing his career in the office. In October 2015, he went to the Presidential Council for National Development and, a few months later, to the Monetary Policy Council (recommended by the PiS). From there, he went to the Financial Supervisory Commission and became its chairman.
The president and the sole owner of the MCC group was Mrs. Chrzanowska. He is officially still in this position.
It would not be particularly shocking if it was not for the fact that Joanna Chrzanowska was at the time Deputy Director of the Education and Publications Department of the National Bank of Poland.
According to Professor Antoni Kamiński of the Polish Academy of Sciences, specialist in the field of political corruption, Chrzanowska broke the law by combining the executive position of NBP with economic activity.
– There is a clear conflict of interest. The company Ms. Chrzanowska provides financial advisory services and the business scope of the company is largely compatible with the activities of the National Bank of Poland, in which Ms. Chrzanowska works. And it does not matter that the NBP is an institution independent of the other authorities. Officials in managerial positions should not do business – says prof. Antoni Kamiński in a conversation with Wirtualna Polska.
Ms. Chrzanowska violates the provisions of the anti-corruption law, which explicitly prohibits the merger of an official position and sitting on the board of directors of a commercial law company.

As noted by Wirtualna Polska, Anna Kasprzysiak heads the wife of the former KNF leader. She was the wife of Mariusz Kamiński, the Minister of Special Services Coordinators, pardoned by President Duda before the court verdict. Recently, it was again very much about him.
