The eight market offers for the renovation of the railway line from Wroclaw to Swidnica via Sobótka exceeded the investment budget for railways by 185 million zlotys. The cheapest offer was 245 million PLN, the most expensive PLN 477 million.

According to Mirosław Siemieniec, spokesperson for PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe, offers are being verified. – The project is financed by the resources of the regional operational program. One of the options is, with the Marshal's office, to consider the possibility of increasing the amount of its implementation – explains Mirosław Siemieniec.

If the missing money is not added and if PKP PLK is launching another tender for tenders, the renovation of the key railway line for the southern districts of Wrocław could be delayed.

According to schedule, the entire investment is expected to end in the autumn of 2020, so that trains will return to the line between 2020 and 2021. After the renovation, trains will have to reach a speed of 100 km / h. South of Wroclaw, trains stop at the train stations: Wrocław Wojszyce at ul. Grota-Roweckiego, Wrocław Partynice at ul. Zwycięska – both stops will have separate platforms depending on the direction of travel and Wrocław Tarnogaj in the area of ul. Bardzka and Buforowa. However, the train station Wrocław Klecina will not be renovated. Single-track trains will pass two places: Sobótka Zachodnie and Bielany Wrocławskie.

In the end, the trains will travel from Trzebnica to Wroclaw via Bielany Wrocławskie, Kobierzyce and Sobótka to idwidnica. The connection will be served by rail buses, the line will no longer be electrified as part of the renovation. Six new three-station fuel depots, which Koleje Dolnośląskie wants to buy for the line, will reach Lower Silesia by 2022. They will cost 90 million zlotys.

PKP PLK will also renovate the stretch between widnica Kraszowice and Jedlina-Zdrój. The works will be carried out by Dolnośląskie Przedsiębiorstwo Napraw Infrastruktury Komunikacyjna "Dolkom" for 135 million PLN. The winning company is expected to complete the project by March and complete the renovation of the line by November 20. In this case, the offer accepted by PKP PLK was 25 million more expensive than the budget.
