A warning issued by the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management means that weather phenomena can cause property damage and threaten health and life. Conducting activities in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous.

One can expect difficulties resulting from activities in the area of ​​occurrence of a threat, including delays caused by traffic obstructions, disturbances during from outside events or the possibility of their cancellation. IMGW recommends caution and encourages follow-up messages and weather developments.
The warning covers not only the provinces of Lower Silesia, Lublin, Lubuskie, Opolskie and Podkarpackie, three poviats of the south-west of the Pomeranian Voivodeship (Gryfino, Myślborski and Pyrzyce) and the voivodeships of Małopolskie, Mazovian and Świętokrzyskie bordering voivodeships of Lublin and Podkarpackie. the districts of Radom, Sokołów, Szydłowiec and Węgrów.

The warning also does not apply in poviatic towns surrounded by poviats for which no warning has been issued (such as Siedlce, Radom or Tarnów).

The warning applies to the rest of the country, but at different times. In the Masovian Voivodeship, until 10:00 on July 17, in the provinces of Podlasie and Warmian-Mazurian, for 2 hours more.

In the provinces of Pomerania and Kujawsko-Pomorskie, dangerous phenomena 15:00 the same day, in Western Pomerania until 20:00, in Małopolskie, Śląskie and Świętokrzyskie until 21:00, and in Wielkopolskie and Łódź until 22:30 also on 17 July.
