Taxi drivers from all over Poland will again be asking the government to restrict the operation of competing transport companies, which they believe is right.

Taxi drivers protest in the center of Warsaw

The event must start at noon and last two hours. This can cause traffic problems. A column of several hundred taxis will pass from the national stadium and Torwar to Trzech Krzyże Square.

Taxi drivers want to go down under the building of the Ministry of Enterprise and Technology on Trzech Krzyża Square. They want to pass the petition of the head of this ministry to Jadwiga Emilewicz, whom they consider as the main person who "blocks" the striking changes, for example Uber or Taxify.

An expression of opposition to transportation applications

The organizer of the event is the union "Warsaw Taxi Driver". Its representatives explained that they wanted to express their dissatisfaction with the actions of the government, especially in the face of the non-application of the applicable law, for example against the operation of Internet applications in mediation and dissatisfaction when from the design of a new. the Road Transport Act, which would regulate this type of activity.

Taxi drivers say that if their postulates are not heard, they will demonstrate in Warsaw at rush hours next time.

The members of the protest accept a collection of candies. These must be given to the children, charged by the Heroes Foundation.

I think that again, we will show that legal taxi drivers can do a lot more than just – as a large group of people say – only block the city

– we read about the Facebook profile of the union "Warsaw Taxi Driver".

This is the second event of taxi drivers of this type in the capital this fall. The first took place on October 18th. Then the taxi drivers handed the petition to the Minister of Justice, Zbigniew Ziobrze.
