This was supposed to be a quiet rest near the water. The holidays are happening, the weather is nice, that's why it was also crowded on Lake Wąsoskie on Monday (23/07). Three teenagers were also resting on the tank. They decided to rent a water bike. When they sailed about 300 meters from the coast, one of them decided to refresh themselves. He left the bridge and he was convulsed. One of his friends immediately jumped to his rescue. Unfortunately, 16- and 17-year-olds no longer come to the surface.
A teenager who did not jump into the water with all the strength of his legs asked for help. In the rescue operation, which began around 4:30 pm, there were six firefighters involved. They are also supported by a special unit of Toruń, equipped with a sonar and a specialized water rescue group from Bydgoszcz
.The depth of the water, up to 15 meters , did not facilitate the search. After dark, the action was stopped. Will be resumed Tuesday at approx. 8 am
