Wimbledon: Novak Djoković won with Kevin Anderson

Novak Djokovic defeated the 13th Grand Slam title in Sunday's final. The last few months have been very difficult for the Serbs. After Wimbledon last year, he had to finish the season due to an elbow injury, and his form did not impress after his return. He changed in May, when he started playing as he was when he was the ATP leader.

"Nole" won his last title in 2016 at the French Open. At Wimbledon he won in 2011, 2014 and 2015. In the final, he played for the last time at the US Open 2016. His rival could boast of a much more modest achievement. Until now, his best result at Wimbledon was the 1/8 finals. Anderson has also become the first player in South Africa since 1921, who was promoted to the finals of the London tournament. Both tennis players have played six times up here. Djoković was five times better, and Anderson only won one time.

The first set started perfectly for Djokovic, who broke his opponent in the first match. Three others did not pause, but by the fifth match, the Serbs were again better and came out ahead with 4: 1. The second set had a very similar race. Already in the first match, Djoković defeated Anderson, and in the next three games they both won. In the eighth game Anderson had a break point, but "Nole" defended and then won the set.

The third set had a completely different course. Djoković, as during the whole game, was watching his application, but Anderson also did not allow the opponent to break. Only in the tenth match, the South African tennis player had two opportunities to undo, but "Nole" managed to defend. He was similar in the twelfth game and a tie-break was needed to select the winner.

In the 2-1 state for Djokovic, everyone won their claim, but then Serb won two balls and lost 4: 1. "Nole" won another three balls, giving two points to the opponent and finally triumphed 7: 3. Thus, Djoković won the third set and the whole match. Serb won his thirteenth Grand Title title and fourth at Wimbledon. He will return to the top ten ATP rankings. Anderson after the London tournament will be fifth.
