The social insurance institution has started sending more than 2.5 million letters to entrepreneurs with a summary of payments made under the e-premium. He tells them what ZUS companies' colonies were like last year and their balance at the end of 2018.

Over the next two weeks, more than 2.5 million taxpayers will receive a letter from ZUS containing a summary of payments made to their individual contribution account in 2018.

From the correspondence with the Social Insurance Institution, each entrepreneur will know how much he has paid in the previous year of contributions to his individual account, which claims have been covered. In the end, he will also find out if his account is set to the so-called "zero," whether it's an overpayment or an overpayment.

– We want every entrepreneur to be fully aware of the status of their contribution regulations. The worst thing to do in running your own business is the lack of knowledge about the state of your finances – underlines the president of ZUS, prof. Gertruda Uścińska.

– I immediately realize that a letter from ZUS is not a payment request and I ask you not to treat it that way. This is for all entrepreneurs of demonstration equipment that can be used for independent actions in the field of settlements with the Social Insurance Institution – noted the prof. Uścińska.

ZUS asks each taxpayer who receives a correspondence to read it carefully. The letter may include, for example, information about even a penny or a few dozen less or overpayments. Contractors must juxtapose the contributions sent by ZUS to their account books and check if the situation presented by the factory matches that they have on their side. With small amounts of underpayment or overpayment, they can be adjusted by reducing or increasing the next payment.

ZUS points out that with higher underpayments, you need to be aware of the need to add interest, which is helpful for the calculator on the zus.pl website. If the contractor is unable to repay the arrears with a single payment, the Department recommends that an installment agreement be concluded and thus stop paying interest for late payment.

The ability to present the status of current contribution regulations to entrepreneurs is the effect of the e-premium project introduced last year, which is the individual number of premium accounts for each contributor. Today, the entrepreneur, instead of three or four transfers, makes a payment and the company distributes it to individual funds. Information on the status of settlements with ZUS will be sent to contractors each year.
