BOSTON – Police in Massachusetts said that a man accused of abducting his one – year – old son had been located in Mexico.
Lowell police said Monday that Fillemom De Lima, 37, of Lawrence, Mass., Was detained by Mexican authorities in a migrant detention center.
De Lima and his son were last seen on January 9th. Lowell police and the FBI found it in Mexico City.
The boy found his mother, Mahalia Alexander-Paggi, Sunday night at Logan International Airport in Boston.
It is not known if De Lima is represented by a lawyer who could comment on his behalf.
The police said that if he went to Brazil, he might not have been able to reunite the boy with his mother.
Several federal agencies participated in the investigation.
