UHRICHSVILLE, Ohio (AP) – Police said a couple had made laxative cookies for striking employees because they were tired of the noise of picket lines near their home.

Authorities in eastern Ohio said none of the striking workers had eaten the sugar cookies, but the couple were accused of contaminating treats.

Police said the couple had complained on Facebook about the presence of taxi drivers in support of bus drivers, cooks and guards on strike.

Investigators say they also made a video showing laxative pills mixed with cookie dough.

The strike in the Claymont School District in Tuscarawas County is in its third week.

According to authorities, Bo Cosens and Rachel Sharrock appeared in court Tuesday to face several charges.

Sharrock's lawyer declined to comment on Friday. The judicial archives have not listed a lawyer for Cosens.
