KTLA Cal State Fullerton Inquiry

FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) – Police have announced the arrest of a suspect in the death at the hands of a man on the Fullerton campus of California State University.

Lt. Jon Radus of Fullerton Police said Thursday at the Associated Press that a suspect had been arrested following the death of Steven Shek Keung Chan, 57 years old.

Radus declined to provide details and announced that a press conference would be held at 1 pm.

Chan worked as Director of Budget, Finance and Student Services for University Higher Education, but retired in 2017. He returned to campus in January to work as a consultant.

Authorities said Chan was found stabbed Monday inside his Infiniti 's money in a campus parking lot, and that they thought it was a targeted attack.
