The missing AEW world championship of Chris Jericho was apparently discovered on the side of the road by a good Samaritan who turned him into a police force.

As we reported previously, Jericho reported to the police that the belt was stolen Sunday after leaving her in her limousine while she was eating in a Longhorn Steakhouse. He was later found by the police.

Regarding what happened, the Tallahassee Police Department issued the following statement:

On Sunday, September 1, 2019, TPD responded to a flight mentioned at 2400 North Monroe Street. On September 4, 2019, a citizen returned the championship belt to TPD headquarters, reporting that it had been found along a local road.

This case was assigned to investigators from TPD's burglary unit and is still an active investigation. Investigators ask anyone with information about this case to call (850) 891-4200 or Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS. TPD will provide more information as soon as it becomes available.
